Believe, and then you will see.

Someone said “Seeing is believing”, but I believe, this is a limiting belief, and the exact opposite applies.

The leader who is driven by convictions, will see his convictions leading to action, and action that will count.

Authentic leadership, does not simply emerge out of a vacuum, but the leadership that counts and matters, is deeply convictional.

You can divide all leaders, into those who hold office, and those who hold great convictions.

Life is too short, to pay attention to leaders who stand for little or nothing, leaders who are looking for the next program, riding the latest fad, driving after every new idea, but unfortunately driven, by no real true convictions.

I want to be a leader, and see leaders, who matter, making a difference, precisely because convictions matter, and not simply, filling a position, and looking for a safe place to land.

Convictions, explain the courage, of how renowned convictional leaders, like Solzhenitsyn, could defy the inhumanity of the Soviet Union, how Nelson Mandela could give hope to a people from a prison cell, how Margaret Thatcher could move far from compromise, and declare “The lady is not for turning”, and Martin Luther King, writing his famous letter, from a Birmingham jail.

Leadership Renaissance – I’m a Believer.

During last three decades, we have seen a renaissance of leadership, and like never before, there is a display of hunger for leaders and transformational leadership.

Like myself, you want to grow as a leader, and be all the more ready for the challenges, that so easily beset us.

There is no shortage of interest, books or leadership programs.

SO WHATS THE PROBLEM?

I believe the problem is, we pay too little attention, to what leaders believe, which is the most central part of the leader, and his or her leadership.

The leader’s hierarchy of values, are not apparent enough to us, but it’s important to stress, if the leader is human, they will align their goals with their hierarchy of values, and will subconsciously seek to meet these, no matter what.

For decades, leadership has been a major cultural pre-occupation and professional obsession, and yet …SOMETHING is MISSING!

My goal, is to fundamentally change the way you think about leadership, the way leadership is understood, and practised.

I hold strong convictions, that leadership cannot be separated, from passionately held beliefs.

Effective leadership, must be able to change the hearts and minds, of those they lead. This leadership, requires passionate beliefs that can stand up to the pressures within, and without.
